HAMPDEN  — Ezekiel Spiro scored his second goal of the game with five minutes left in regulation to lift the Brunswick High School boys soccer team to a 3-2 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win on Friday over Hampden Academy.  

Lane Foushee set up Spiro for the winning tally, one of his two assists on the day. David Nzuzi also scored for the Dragons, who improved to 3-0 and hosts Edward Little on Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. Matty Laforge added an assist.  

Ethan Sokoloski and Tetsushi Okada scored for the Broncos (0-1-2). 

Brunswick netminder Jack McDiarmid had 10 saves.  

Dirigo 6, Wiscasset/Boothbay 1 

On Friday at Dixfield, John Snowman and Trenton Hutchinson scored two goals apiece to power the Cougars (2-1) past the Wolverines (0-1-1).

Drew Collins and Nolan Downs staked Dirigo to a 2-0 halftime lead.  

L.J. Travis had nine saves in the Wiscasset/Boothbay cage. Derek Ducharme had seven stops for Dirigo. 

The Wolverines host Hall-Dale tonight at 6 p.m.  

Leavitt 1, Morse 0 

At Bath on Saturday, the visiting Hornets scored the lone goal with 4:31 remaining in regulation for a KVAC win the Shipbuilders.  

Ethan Weston stole a pass and assisted Cooper McGray for the game-winning goal.

Morse, 0-3 and slated to visit Medomak Valley on Tuesday at 7 p.m., received 12 saves from netminder Brenton Cahill. Leavitt’s Blaine Clark turned away 13 shots.  

Oxford Hills 2, Mt. Ararat 1 

At South Paris on Saturday, Keegan Watson scored with 4:17 remaining in regulation to lift the host Vikings past the Eagles in KVAC play.  

Mt. Ararat (0-2) led 1-0 at the half as Elias Theberge scored.  

But, Oxford Hills tied the game 8:45 into the second half on an Andrew Morrell tally.  

James Singleton had three saves for Mt. Ararat, which hosts Camden Hills on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Sam Morton turned away 14 shots for the Vikings.

Girls soccer 

NAPLES — Rachel Wall broke a 1-1 halftime tie as Freeport outscored Lake Region 3-0 in the second half for a 4-1 WMC win on Friday.  

Catroina Gould scored off a Wall pass 5:18 into the game for a 1-0 Falcon (3-0) lead.  

Lake Region (0-3-1) tied the game when Mackenzie Siebert slipped a shot past Freeport netminder Leah Rusiecki with 1:55 left until halftime.  

Gould assisted on Wall’s game-winner and gave the Falcons a 3-1 lead when she gathered in Rusiecki’s long punt and scored with 14:51 remaining. Wall finished the scoring, again off an assist from Gould.  

Elizabeth Smith had 20 saves in the Lakers cage, while Rusiecki turned away six shots.

Freeport visits Yarmouth on Tuesday at 6 p.m.  

Morse 3, Leavitt 1 

Emily Martin tallied a pair of goals and an assist as the visiting Shipbuilders downed the Hornets in KVAC play on Friday at Turner.  

Dory Kulis chipped in a goal in the win, while goaltender Abby Sreden turned away a Leavitt penalty kick, one of her four saves.  

Leah Maheux had the lone Hornets goal, while Morse’s Wren Tetreault had an assist. Samantha Ramsey was a standout for the ’Builders, who visit Medomak Valley on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.  

Brunswick 1, Hampden Academy 0

Isabella Banks scored in the first half to lift the host Dragons to a KVAC win over the Broncos on Friday.  

Aisley Snell made the goal stand up, making four saves for the shutout as Brunswick improved to 2-1.  

“I felt we dominated the majority of the game, but Hampden is an excellent team and pushed us all the way,” said Brunswick coach Martyn Davison, whose Dragons visits Edward Little on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.   

Mt. Ararat 8, Oxford Hills 2 

The Eagles netted a pair of goals in the first five minutes en route to a KVAC win over the Vikings in Topsham.  

Mt. Ararat struck less than three minutes into the contest when Margaret Dwinal scored off an Erin Harty helper. Two minutes later, junior Ema Hawkes scored the first of her two goals to give the home team a two-goal lead.

After Bella DeVivo (two goals) pulled the Vikings (1-2) within a goal, Emma Hanna and Hawkes each scored to give Mt. Ararat a 4-1 lead at the break. 

Four second-half goals sealed the first victory of the season against one defeat on the young season for the Eagles. 

We came to play as we were positive and played together as a team,” Mt. Ararat coach Chad Kirk said as the Eagles travel to Camden Hills on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. 

Hawkes finished with two goals and two assists, while her sister, freshman Hannah Hawkes also tallied a pair. Eliza Libby and Alex Gurney also scored for the Eagles. Harty and Ema Hawkes each had a pair of assists and Brennan Thiboutot added one. 

Elsa Daulerio made eight saves in net for Mt. Ararat, while Elizabeth Hallee stopped five for the Vikings. 

Mt. Abram 4, Wiscasset 0

Lily Day and Kaylee Knight scored six minutes apart to power the host Roadrunners past the Wolverines (0-4) at Salem on Saturday.  

Daisy Gusler and Camryn Wahl added a goal each just 95 seconds apart in the second half for Mt. Abram (3-0-1).  

Wiscasset goaltender Lily Souza turned away 11 shots.  

The Wolverines host Spruce Mountain on Tuesday at 6 p.m . 

Field hockey 

BRUNSWICK — Kelsey Sullivan and Sara Scrapchansky scored a pair of goals each to power Brunswick to a 6-1 KVAC victory over Edward Little on Saturday.

The Dragons gave head coach Carrie Sullivan her first win, with 1-2 Brunswick slated to visit rival Mt. Ararat on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

“Today our team was able to put together what we’ve been working hard on — both offensively and defensively,” said Carrie Sullivan.  

Scarpchansky added a pair of helpers, while Gia Guernelli and Lauren Jacobs chipped in a goal apiece for the Dragons. Jacobs also had two assists.  

Courtney Larson score the lone goal for the Red Eddies (0-3-1).  

Ahavah Burch and Liberty Krauss combined on four saves.  

Oak Hill 3, Lisbon 0 

On Friday at Litchfield, Adelle Surrette had a goal and an assist to power the Raiders to a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Greyhounds, who fell to 0-3 and hosts Telstar today at 4 p.m.  

Desirae Dumais and Julie Mooney also scored for Oak Hill (2-3), while Nataliegh Moody and Kiara Levesque combined on the shutout.  

Becky Budesheim had 16 saves in the Lisbon cage.
