Noble 2, Kennebunk 0: Senior goalkeeper Reagan Kelly made four saves and the Knights shutout the Rams.
Bella Reil scored on a penalty kick with 5:04 left in the first half. Cassie Chabot added Noble’s second goal with 4:54 left in half off of a pass from Olivia Howard.
Noble head coach Michael Reil applauded the play of Emma Mcloughlin and Megan Kotsonis for their outstanding aggressive defense, while freshman Mackenzie Jordan injected energy and offensive chances in her first varsity game, hitting the crossbar three times with shots on goal, Reil said.
Biddeford 7, Westbrook 0: Sophomore Kadynne Smith scored a hat trick and the Tigers got goals from Jillian Lewis, Ashjan Abduslalam, Zowie Cheetham-Wilmont and Kaelly O’Guinn.
In net for the Tigers and getting her first career varsity shutout was sophomore Kerri Scott who stopped five shots. In net for Westbrook stopping 20 shots was keeper Evelyn Keaton.
BOYS’ SOCCER
Falmouth 1, Sanford 0: Macklin Williams scored the game’s only goal in the first half and Jackson Quinn made four saves. Sanford Goalie Jalen Angers had 26 saves on 27 shots.
FIELD HOCKEY
Biddeford 5, Sanford 1: The defending Class A state champion Tigers got a pair of goals from junior Abby Allen and a goal from Anna Lavigne. Carley Lovejoy, Megan Mourmouras, Allen and Lavigne each registered an assist. Biddeford goalie Abby Nadeau had four saves in her first varsity game.
Sanford’s score came courtesy of Kaylee Frey goal from Kallee turner. Spartans goalie Jordan Benvie made 24 saves.
VOLLEYBALL
Windham 3, Biddeford 0: The Eagles defeated the Tigers in three sets 25-9, 25-14 and 25-15.
Windham’s Alexis Budroe had five kills, four aces and eight assists. Sierra Guide finished with six kills and Megan Fleck had four kills, 14 assists and five aces.
Freshman Baylor Wilkinson had four kills and two aces, and Rachel Brask had two kills and two blocks for the Tigers.
