Atria Scarborough’s celebrated its fifth annual Antique Car Show and Back to School Drive to help support students at Reiche Elementary School.
The event, which took place on Aug. 15, brought car enthusiasts from all over and the bygone nostalgia of the 1950s.
Chef Joel Glatz and his team prepared a menu for all to enjoy as Ocean Ave Band entertained the crowd.
Executive Director Caitlin Marsanskis also dazzled guests once again as the event emcee and sang on stage with Lisa Mills and Don Wessels.
From the hardworking and enthusiastic employees registering the vehicles as they came in, to 50/50 raffle sales, serving of savory hors d’oeuvres and old-fashioned root beer floats, to decorating and setting up along with the collection of tickets for door prizes, the event would not have been possible.
Engage Life Director, Amber Wilson, organized the event and said she was appreciative of how the vision of the event all came together.
She said Atria “would like to thank all who participated and for the surrounding community and local businesses for supporting the fundraiser; Reny’s, On the Vine Marketplace and O’Reilly Auto Parts. Congratulations to our trophy winners, Best in Show and Dressed to Impress and the four raffle basket winners. Best in Show was received by Dayton residents, Bill and Liz Baynes for their 1965 wagon.”
“That car show was number one in my book,” Bill Baynes said in an email.“No hassles, just good fun. Right down to the cream puffs.”
