I would support Mr. Weil’s proposal in his ‘Voters cheated by congressional elections’ column of July 20. if he included two additional reforms:

— Term limits for the House of Representatives (three terms) and the Senate (two terms).

— Eliminate pensions and all other “perks” enjoyed by Congress.  They can drive their own cars, fly commercial airlines, join health clubs, purchase private health insurance or “Obamacare,” and fund their own IRA’s just like their constituents.
