Local Naturopathic doctor, Dr. Aline Potvin, is showing Biddeford residents the natural beauty that can be found in urban centers.
A local healthcare provider, Potvin teaches many community classes on wellness and herbal medicines. She is looking forward to taking people into downtown Biddeford multiple dates this summer to identify common, non-cultivated plants that have historically been used medicinally or as a food source.
Potvin hopes this family friendly experience is enriching and allows local residents to be able to connect more deeply with green space in town and the natural world elsewhere.
Dates for these hour long “Biddeford Beauty Walks” are July 24, and Aug. 22 from 6 to 7 p.m.
The event is by donation only, and no one will will be turned away for lack of funds.
Meeting place is at Shevenell Park (149 Main St., Biddeford), rain or shine.
