LIMINGTON — One man suffered severe injuries during a motorcycle crash on Friday, July 5 in Limington.

According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, Jordan Trafford, 23, of Limington, was operating his 2019 white Harley Davidson motorcycle on Sokokis Avenue when he lost control in the area of 604 Sokokis Ave.

Witnesses reported that Trafford was operating at a high rate of speed and passing vehicles, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release. “The motorcycle approached the curve in the area of 604 Sokokis Ave. and due to the high rate of speed, Jordan lost control and went off the road, striking the grassy shoulder of the road and flipped the motorcycle,” according to the press release. “Jordan was thrown from the motorcycle before it collided with a tree,” according to the release.

Jordan was transported to the hospital by Limington Rescue with head trauma, severe lacerations on his right arm as well as significant road rash, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He is expected to survive and remains in the hospital.

Jordan was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident,

Charges are anticipated to be levied as a result of this crash.
