Topsham Public Library is hosting a number of author talks in the next few month that are free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase and signing at each event.
On Wednesday, June 26 at 6: p.m., Brunswick author James Hornor discusses his novel “Victoria Falls,” a mid-life coming of age novel about a man on a mission in Africa for the World Bank.
James Nelon will discuss his book “Pursuing A Dream: A Wandering Executive’s Journeys into The Philippines,” on Wednesday, July 24, at 6 p.m.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Catherynne Valente will be at the library Saturday, Aug. 31 at 2 p.m. Valente’s books include “Space Opera,” “Mass Effect Andromeda: Annihilation,” “The Refrigerator Monologues” and the Fairyland series. She is the winner of the Andre Norton, Tiptree, Sturgeon, Prix Imaginales, Eugie Foster Memorial, Mythopoeic, Rhysling, Lambda, Locus, Romantic Times’ Critics Choice and Hugo awards.
Topsham architectural historian Scott Hanson discusses his latest book, “Restoring Your Historic House: The Comprehensive Guide for Homeowners” on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. Hanson is a historic-building preservation professional and has 40 years’ experience rehabilitating historic houses.
