    The Deering High senior batted .455 this spring and struck out 41 batters in 20 innings before being selected in the second round of the Major League Baseball draft.

    The senior, bound for the University of Michigan, led Falmouth to a second consecutive Class A state championship.

    Our team is dominated by juniors and seniors, including three All-America selections.
  • Boys’ outdoor track: Travis Snyder, Thornton Academy
    The senior shattered the state record in the pole vault at the Class A meet and went on to earn All-America honors.
  • Boys’ outdoor track: 2019 Varsity Maine All-State team
    The team includes three athletes who set all-time Maine bests.
  • Girls’ outdoor track: Victoria Bossong, Cheverus
    The sophomore won three events at the Class A state meet, and her best time in the 400 meters is nearly 3 seconds faster than any Maine schoolgirl ever.
  • Girls’ outdoor track: 2019 Varsity Maine All-State team
    Three athletes from Class A champion Cheverus head a list that includes five seniors, three juniors and two sophomores.
  • Boys’ tennis: Nick Forester, Falmouth
    A senior with leadership skills, Forester earned his second consecutive MPA singles state title without dropping a set.
  • Boys’ tennis: 2019 Varsity Maine All-State team
    Two freshmen and a sophomore are among the players on the eight-man squad.
  • Girls’ tennis: Grace Campanella, Kennebunk
    The junior won her second straight MPA singles state championship in dominant fashion.
  • Girls’ tennis: 2019 Varsity Maine All-State team
    The eight All-State selections include four sophomores and two juniors.
