BRUNSWICK — A Georgetown woman was listed in fair condition at a Portland hospital Monday after the Jeep in which she was a passenger hit a utility pole on Pleasant Street Friday night.
The crash happened around 10:45 p.m. near the Sunshine Center laundromat.
Brunswick Police Cmdr. Tom Garrepy said a Jeep Cherokee driven by Daniel Snyder, 53, of Georgetown, was traveling east on Pleasant Street. The vehicle drifted off the shoulder, left the road and struck a utility pole.
Snyder suffered minor injuries and wasn’t taken to the hospital by first responders.
His passenger, 57-year-old Maureen Snyder of Georgetown, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Maine Medical Center. A hospital spokesman said Monday evening that she remained at the hospital in fair condition.
Garrepy said the cause of the crash is still under investigation. No charges have been filed.
