SPRINGVALE — For many, the music of the 1950s and 1960s reminds them of bygone days. It puts a smile on the faces and makes them want to sing along.
If that music is your cup of tea, there’s a group for you. The Sassy Senior Sing-Alongs will perform “Your Hit Parade to American Bandstand” at 7 p.m. Saturday at Nasson Little Theatre, 457 Main St. Singing along is encouraged.

“The Sassy Senior Sing-Alongs have been in the regional entertainment ‘business’ for 15 years and absolutely know that, once the concert is launched, the lyrics are right there in your hands, the music is infectious, you become part of the action, and the rest is history — your ‘50s and ‘60s musical history,” said show director Lorraine Masure. She noted the groups’ three previous shows at Nasson Little Theatre have been standing-room only.
The “Sassies” have performed at nursing homes and senior housing facilities all over southern Maine and parts of New Hampshire. Many of the members are in their 80s — and they’re on a mission — to sing and have fun.
Billed as “music of your life,” the event invites the audience to listen, laugh, and sing along.
Tickets are $10. Reservations may be made by calling 324-5657 or visiting nassonevents.com.
