Editor,
I’m writing about the column by Harold Pease “Focus now turns to alleged FBI/DoJ coup d’e’tat” published in the Journal Tribune on May 10.
In that column, Pease says “The population had just voted that he (Trump) was fit and was their best choice of many contenders.”
May I point out to Mr. Pease that the actual population voted otherwise? Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by more than three million votes cast.
The Electoral College is who determined Trump would be president, which meant a handful of midwestern states voted him as the best choice, not the actual population of the United States. And I bet many of those voters regret their vote today.
