“Creativity takes many forms….painting, cooking, writing, inventing, coaching and teaching. Its seeds are passed down from generation to generation. Creativity is one of the great privileges of being human.” Thomas Kinkade
Are you as happy as I am to have this beautiful, sunshiny day? This time of year brings back many memories for me. Memories that are wound around my heart. I can see my father coming home from his store, the Kittery Fruit Company located in Kittery, abutting the Navy yard. Hurriedly changing his clothes so he could go up the hill to his farm.
It seems my father’s first words to me were, “I bought this farm so you could grow up healthy.” He was trying to give his family the proper nourishment for a lifetime. He was about treatment and prevention. After seeing my dad’s love of the earth and nature, I have a great appreciation for all the work and science involved getting something to grow out of the ground, harvest it and get it to market. It is work! I know because I had a farmer’s market in my father’s store.
In 1962 there were only a few people who were aware of the relationship between diet, supplements and disease. Part of what science and medicine is experimental but documented. Science is an important method of study that always gives us new information and new ways of understanding information.
The facts revealed by scientific study are never perfect. We must realize that later information may change our thinking.
Right now, Dr. Michael Janson states the wise approach to health care is with diet, exercise and stress management.
In spite all the books I have read about supplementation I do not understand it. Nutrition is a many faceted subject.
We are bombarded with contradictory information and advice. Supplementation is a fairly new topic and the language can get very technical.
I have a difficult time understanding. What is good for me and what is not, I do not know. I do know I want to be healthy and have quality of life. I want to be able to walk, enjoy my grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nutritionists and researchers agree that vitamins and minerals are necessary for human health. Are we taking the wrong supplement in the wrong amount?
Many people would like to take supplements but are uncertain about how much and what supplements can do for us.
Most books state, “If you have any medical condition, please consult with your physician before taking any vitamin or mineral supplements. In most cases, they may be used in addition to the recommended medical treatment. However, consult your physician first.”
There has been political debate and conflicts about dietary supplements the past few years.
Dr. Janson, a nutritional medical doctor, believes you can improve your health, vitality, energy, love life , and longevity with proven dietary supplement programs.
