Editor,

On Sunday May 19, 2019 the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Association will host the third Annual Honor in Stone fundraiser to raise funds for the POW/MIA monument at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery.

Iron Tails Saloon located at 559 U.S. Route 109 in Acton, Maine and “Have a Heart Victory Ride Promoters” is working with SMVMCA to organize this ride along with the support of Patriot Riders of America Maine Chapter One and Rolling Thunder Maine Chapter One.

The POW/MIA memorial sends a powerful message on behalf of the families, friends and comrades of veterans who have not returned home. This monument will provide a tangible way for loved ones to grieve.

While it communicates the ongoing mission to obtain the release of all prisoners of war to gain the fullest possible accounting for the missing in action and for the repatriation of all recoverable remains of those who died serving this nation. It will give a place for the loved ones to place a stone for those buried at sea or remains that were not recovered.

The ride will leave from Iron Tails Saloon, 559 U.S. Route 109, Acton Maine. This is A Donation ride and any and all support will greatly be appreciated.
