The Old Orchard Beach Community Friendly Connection is launching a pilot program to deliver buckets of salted sand to town residents physically unable to get sand on their own. The program, called Sand 4 Safety, will be open to the first 30 applicants. Delivery is anticipated in the next two weeks. Those who would like to receive a bucket of sand should call Assistant Town Manager Louise Reid at 934-5714, ext. 1526.
