“I think practice preparation is always an indicator of game performance.”  Bill Belichick

Someone asked me what team do I think is going to win on Sunday, the New England Patriots or the Chargers? What players do I like? I could not answer. I did not know.

I am not a good one to ask because I need to expand my interest about the game. However we are a football family starting with great-grandfather right down to the 10-year-olds.

The boys in the family played football.  Also we are having dinner together and then watching the game. It is time for me to pay attention. Is there anyone else who does not know? The Patriots host the Chargers on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 13 at Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston region. The Patriots compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference East Division.

I read that Bill Belichick is head coach of the NFL’s New England Patriots and widely considered one of the best coaches in football history. He was born William Stephen Belichick on April 16, 1952 in Nashville, Tennessee.

The only child of Steve and Jeanette Belichick, Bill showed an early aptitude for the game of football, a trait he undoubtedly inherited from his father, a longtime assistant coach and college football scout.

The future coach was educated at Phillips Academy and Wesleyan University. Bill is in his 44th season as NFL coach in 2018 and is in his 20th season as head coach of New England Patriots. He is the only head coach in NFL history to win five Super Bowl titles and play in seven championships.

In a thrilling game, the first to go overtime in NFL history, Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady led the Patriots to 34-28 victory, the team’s fifth Super Bowl victory in 2017.

Belichick got his start in coaching in 1975 when he took a job with the Baltimore Colts. By the 1980s, he was the defensive coordinator for the New York Giants and praised as one of the brightest minds in the game.

After a rocky stint as head coach of the Cleveland Browns in the early 1990s, the New England Patriots hired Belichick in 2000. He guided the franchise to five Super Bowl victories.

Folks are excited about the first Patriots-Chargers playoff game in more than a decade. The roster includes Tom Brady (quarterback), Stephen Gilmore (cornerback), Rob Gronskowski (tight end), Devin McCourty (safety) and Dont’a Hightower (linebacker).

It has been more than a decade since Tom Brady and Philip Rivers met in the post season, and the Los Angeles quarterback won’t just be looking for revenge—he will be seeking a chance to secure his legacy. While Brady battles toward his ninth Super Bowl appearance, Rivers is still looking for his first, and 2019 might be his best and last chance to do it.

Everyone has heard and know all about New England Patriot’s #12 quarterback. Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr. is an American football quarterback and was born Aug. 3, 1977 in San Mateo, California. He went to the University of Michigan and is known for accurate passing, calm pocket presence, and overall leadership. But there is more than meets the eye. He might be the most interesting quarterback in the league.

I am now ready for the game.
