BIDDEFORD — Rita F. Morin, 93, of Biddeford, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
She was born Aug. 25, 1925 in Biddeford, daughter of Ernest and Justine (Lessard) Laliberte and was educated at St. Andre’s School.
On July 26, 1947 she married Raynald Morin at St. Andre’s Church.
She was employed for many years at the Saco Tannery then worked at Nike Shoe, retiring in 1987. In her retirement, she worked at the University of New England cafeteria.
She had been active with her husband in the V.F.W. as a member of the Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, especially making fudge and pork pies for her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
Rita was preceded in death by Raynald, her husband of 59 years on April 1, 2007.
She is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Cote and husband Rick of Dayton; granddaughters Kelly Cote of Biddeford and Erica Zabriskie and husband Thomas of Pennsylvania; and two great-grandchildren, Connor and Maddelyn Zabriskie.

Visiting Hours will 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, Dec. 29 in the East Chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
