BIDDEFORD — The Biddeford girls basketball team used a 10-1 second-quarter run to take control on Tuesday night and the Tigers would hold on for a 43-39 win over visiting Falmouth.
Biddeford senior Gracie Martin finished with 28 points — including a 12-for-14 performance from the charity stripe — to lead the Tigers to their second win of the season.
Charli Yoho added six points for the Tigers (2-2).
Wells 38, Sacopee Valley 17
Franny Ramsdell scored 15 points to power the Warriors to the win on Tuesday.
The Warriors (3-1) would also get 10 points from Grace Ramsdell.
Sanford 51, Thornton Academy 32
Sanford would get 13 points from Samya Santiague and both Paige Cote and Jillian Lozotte added 11 points as the Spartans rolled to the win.
Amanda Bogardus, Elise Hebert and Katrin Dumont all scored six points for Thornton Academy.
Marshwood 69, Kennebunk 43
Emily Archibald finished with 12 points and Ellen Neale added 10, but it wasn’t enough to lift the Rams over Marshwood on Tuesday.
Alicia Richards scored 22 points in the win for Marshwood.
Boys Basketball
Wells 75, Sacopee Valley 42
Tyler Bridge scored 16 points — including eight in the opening quarter — as the Warriors rolled to the win on Tuesday.
Gavyn Leighton finished with 13 points and Dylan Whitney added 10 for Wells.
Kennebunk 73, Marshwood 67
The Rams would get 21 points from Kyle Pasieniuk and Zack Sullivan finished with 20 points as Kennebunk held off the Hawks.
Max Murray added 18 points and Cam Lovejoy chipped in 14 for the Rams, who are now 4-0 on the season.
