SACO — Rachel J. Thibault, 92, of Saco died Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 at Seal Rock Health Care in Saco.
She was born May 24, 1926 in Biddeford, a daughter of Hormidas and Yvette Crochetiere Belair and was educated in Biddeford Schools. After attending Stella Maris, she attended and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1944.
On Jan. 19, 1946 she married Roland G. Thibault in St. Joseph Church.
She worked for four years in the Pepperell Mfg. office, eight years at Biddeford Savings, and three years with her husband at A.H. Benoit Co. retiring in 1972. In her retirement she worked for several years in the St. Joseph Church office. After retirement, she and Roland had spent 28 years in Dunedin, Florida, returning in 2004.
A member of St. Joseph Church, she was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
Rachel was preceded in death by Roland, her husband of 60 years on March 29, 2006, and by brothers, Raymond and Robert Belair.
She is survived by two sons, John R. Thibault and his wife Elaine of Old Orchard Beach and Richard P. Thibault and his wife Denise of Biddeford; four grandchildren, Scott Thibault and wife Cheryl, Sherrie Haskett and husband Keith, Tarra Balzano and husband Thomas, and Dereck Thibault; four great-grandchildren, Michelle Thibault, Ryan Thibault, Lexi Haskett, and Ava Haskett.
Visiting Hours will 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church on Thursday, Dec. 20. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
