SACO — Gerard “Jerry” LaBrecque, 68, of Saco, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning on Dec. 16, 2018, at home.
He was born in Biddeford on Feb. 15, 1950, a son of Joseph (Leo Pould) and Marguerite (LeBrun) LaBrecque. He graduated from St. Louis High School.
Gerry served his country in the Army Reserves for four years. He married his wife Karen on Oct. 11, 1969.
Earlier, he was employed by General Electric in South Portland until closing in 1982.
Later, after receiving his real estate license, he worked for ERA, Classic Reality, Maine Network and most recently Bean Group.
Jerry had a great love and passion for music. He enjoyed playing and recording music. He played guitar and sang for many groups over the years. Most recently, he was a member of the band Spectrum for the past 20 years.
He is survived by his wife Karen (Camire) LaBrecque; two sons John G. LaBrecque and his wife Shara, and David A. LaBrecque and his wife Lori; and four grandchildren, Alicia LaBrecque, Camden LaBrecque, Ryan Fecteau and Mariah Fecteau. He is also survived by four siblings, Diane LaBrecque and her wife Kathy Kelley, Richard LaBrecque and his wife Shirley, Robert LaBrecque and his wife Doris, and Ronald LaBrecque and his wife Marie; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, Saco. A Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
