BRUNSWICK — Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse/Hyde’s Noah Austin and Ian Struck were at it again Thursday night at Sidney J. Watson Arena, both scoring three goals and adding three assists each as the Eagles cruised by the Lawrence/Skowhegan/MCI Bandits, 10-1, in Class A North action.

On top of the six-point nights for Austin and Struck, the Eagles received a goal and an assist from Cam Poisson, with Hunter Merryman, Alex Witwicki, Tanner Robleto and Trevor Brown also scoring. Ian Cooke, Brandon Durant, Noah Magda and goaltender Cade Charron all chipped in with an assist for the Eagles, who went 3-for-4 on the power play.

Charron and freshman Sean Moore split duties in net for the hosts, combining for 12 saves. The Eagles improved to 2-0-1 on the season.

Lawrence/Skowhegan/MCI’s Cody Dixon scored, with Ben Pierce picking up an assist. Bandits netminder Adrian O’Connell had 37 saves in the losing effort.

The Eagles host Cony/Monmouth/Hall-Dale on Monday at 7 p.m.

YARMOUTH — Yarmouth/Freeport scored four goals in a 5:24 span in the second period to beat Greely/Gray-New Gloucester, 6-3, at Travis Roy Ice Arena.

Trailing 2-1 after the first period, Ashley Arruda started the spurt when she scored from Kyaira Grondin and Hannah Swift 10:39 into the second to tie it for the Clippers.

Yarmouth/Freeport took the lead for good less than three minutes later on a goal from Lily Caulfield. Emma Moll and Olivia Bradford added second-period goals.

Paige Rinaldi and Lydia Guay also tallied goals for the Clippers (3-1).

Camilla Lattanzi scored twice for Greely (1-6).

The Clippers travel to the Rochester Ice Arena to take on York/Traip/Marshwood on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

Brunswick 0
St. Dom’s 8

Avery Lutryzkowski scored five goals in St. Dom’s win over Brunswick.

Lutryzkowski scored once in the first period for the Saints (2-2) then twice in each of the final two periods. She also assisted on Gisele Ouellette’s goal in the third period. Emma Theriault and Bella Webster also slotted goals in the win.

Brunswick fell to 0-5 on the year and will visit Falmouth on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Girls basketball

GRAY — Mikeala Ryan scored 16 of her game-high 20 points in the first half as Gray-New Gloucester rolled past Freeport, 51-22, in WMC play.

Caroline Smith scored 14 for Freeport, which fell to 2-1 and visits Traip Academy on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Patriots are 3-0.

Madison 71

Madison raced out to a 22-2 lead after one quarter and never looked back en route to a Mountain Valley Conference victory over Wiscasset.

Sydnie Thayer led Wiscasset with 10 points, while Zoey Waltz had four. Alice Yokabaskas registered three rebounds, five steals and nine blocks for the Wolverines (0-3).

Madison (3-0) was paced by Emily Edgerly’s 26 points. Katie Worthen scored 16 points, while Landyn Landry added 12 points.

Forest Hills 40

Pine Tree Academy led 21-18 at the break, but Forest Hills rallied in the second half to slip past the Breakers in a Class D South clash at Jackman.

Trailing by six after the opening quarter, the Breakers outscored the Tigers, 12-6, in the second frame for the halftime lead.

Jordan Milano lead Pine Tree (0-1) with 17 points, including three baskets from behind the arc, while Emily Schlisner added 15 points.

Alexandra Lessard scored 17 points, while Taylor Fountaine picked up eight points for Forest Hills (3-0).

WISCASSET — Jacob Meader scored 15 points to power Madison to a 69-22 MVC win over Wiscasset.

The Bulldogs led 19-7, 47-9 and 53-14 at the quarter breaks.

Billy Pinkham paced the Wolverines (1-2) with 14 points, including four 3-pointers.

Wiscasset visits Mountain Valley on Monday at 7 p.m.
