BIDDEFORD — Catherine A. Anastasoff, 67, of Biddeford, passed away, Tuesday evening at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House with her family at her side.

She was born Feb., 3, 1951 in Biddeford to Charles R. and Elizabeth M. (Quirk) Dineen.  Cathy was educated in Biddeford schools and was a 1969 graduate of Biddeford High School.

On June 28, 1969 she married her high school sweetheart, Donald Anastasoff in St. Mary’s Church.

Cathy stayed home to raise her boys.  Once they were older, she enjoyed working as a waitress.  She had worked at Verrillo’s Restaurant, Dunstan School Restaurant and Olive Garden.  Most recently she worked for the Biddeford Schools in the food service department.  She retired in 2016.  Cathy enjoyed volunteering her time at BINGO and fundraisers with her husband Donald as officers of the Rochambeau Club.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald Anastasoff of Biddeford; her sons; Scott Anastasoff and his wife, Jan of Gorham and Shawn Anastasoff and his partner, Katy Reuss of Scarborough and her grandchildren; Bailey and Chase Anastasoff.  Cathy is also survived by her sister Peggy Dineen and her wife, Diane Tremblay of Biddeford; and her brother, Bill Dineen and his wife Debra of Biddeford; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Dineen in 2013.

Cathy’s family wishes to extend their thanks to the staffs of Gosnell Memorial Hospice and New England Cancer Specialists for their care and compassion during her final days.

Friends may call at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A memorial service of remembrance will be held at noon. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco.
