BIDDEFORD —   Sadly, we announce the passing of Norma E. Rocray, age 79, on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018.

She was born in Portland, Maine on July 8, 1939 to Norman F. Seavey and Eldrith M. Seavey.  She is a descendant of the Seavey family from Pine Point.

She was married to Robert Rocray for 52 years and they had three sons.  She loved being a mother and caring for her family and home.  She loved music so much, she often said “music is my world.”

She loved to tap away on her keyboard or strum the guitar.  She enjoyed astrology, gardening, the beach and baking.  No one could make a pie like her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings H. James Seavey, George Seavey, Rita (Seavey) Carr, Robert Loveitt and David Armstrong, her husband Robert Rocray and her son, Robert Rocray Jr.

She is survived by siblings Eileen (Seavey) Landry, Richard Loveitt and Barbara Revell, her sons Keith Rocray and Kevin Rocray and her best friend of 44 years, Meg Leighton.

Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, Maine 04005.   Visiting hours and a celebration of life will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel.  A funeral service and burial are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. at St Joseph’s Cemetery located at 120 West St.
