ARUNDEL — Roger P. Vallee, Sr, 75, of Arundel died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough following a long illness.
He was born March 17, 1943 in Biddeford a son of Anatol and Rita (Chabot) Vallee; he was educated locally and attended St. Louis High School.
Roger had been employed at Noyes Tire/Biddeford Tire/Sullivan Tire for 41 years as the Truck Service Manager, retiring in 2006.
He was a member of the Eagles, the York County Veterans Alliance, and the AMVETS. He enjoyed birdwatching, going to the beach and family outings.
He was predeceased by: a brother, Rene Vallee, his step-son David Austin, and great grandson Aiden Spillane all in 2017.
Roger is survived by Janette Gray, his spouse of 32 years of Arundel; two daughters, Donna Cantara and domestic partner Denis Cote of Sanford and Doreen Webb and her wife Serena Walker of Biddeford; two sons, Roger P. Vallee, Jr. and his wife Melody of Arundel and Raymond Vallee of Arundel; a stepdaughter, Tina Gray of Biddeford; a brother Henri Vallee and his wife Constance of Arundel; two sisters, Peggy Petit and her husband Norman of Arundel and Theresa Larochelle and her husband Willie of Lyman; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A graveside service will take place at Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 10 a.m.
