BIDDEFORD — Therese “Terry” (LaBonte) Delage, age 91 of Biddeford, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation & Residence in Portland where she has been a residence the past few years.

Terry was born in Biddeford on Jan. 1, 1927 the daughter of Henri and Melina (Goudreau) LaBonte.  She was educated in Biddeford Schools.  On Nov. 9, 1946 she married Armand L. Delage in St. Joseph Church in Biddeford.

Mrs. Delage worked for a few years at Morningstar Corp. in Kennebunk, but loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.  She enjoyed cooking, baking and decorating cakes, painting beautiful landscapes and taking long walks.

She was predeceased by her husband, Armand L. Delage, a brother, Leopold LaBonte and four sisters, Adrienne Auclair, Rachel Nadeau-Mauzeralle, Simonne Maurice and Rita Ouellette.  She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Hutto and her husband, Howard of Walnut Creek, California, two sons; Richard L. Delage and his wife, Nancy of Biddeford and James A. Delage and his wife Linda of Dayton, two sisters; Blanche Demers of Biddeford and Georgette Warren of Missouri; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews who also survive her.

Visiting hours will be 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 040025.  A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at noon.  Burial will follow the funeral service in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
