LEBANON — Marjorie B. Beckwith, 88, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 at the Varney Crossing Nursing Home in North Berwick.

She was born in Orono a daughter of the late Edward and Bessie (Cray) Pinkham.

For many years she was employed and retired from Sprague Electric.  In early years when her children were growing up she was actively involved in the P.T.A.  She had also been active in the North Lebanon Baptist Church as well as the Lebanon Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary.  Along with the her husband, Russell they enjoyed square dancing at Spring Hill in South Berwick.

She is predeceased by one son, Alan Beckwith, and one granddaughter, Amanda Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Russell E. Beckwith of Lebanon, children, Gerald Beckwith and his wife Angela of Massachusetts, James Beckwith and his wife, Susan of Arizona, Sharon Smith and her husband, Kevin of Minnesota, David Beckwith and his wife, Carol of North Carolina, Steve Beckwith and his wife, Sharon of Lebanon, Wendy Beckwith Funk of Sanford.  Survivors also include several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale.  Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery in Lebanon.
