Sip Champagne on the shores of the Sheepscot River in Newcastle in support of Midcoast Conservancy.

The event is scheduled for 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.

Hors d’oeuvres will be served and the Lincoln Academy student jazz combo will perform a backing soundtrack.Ticket sales support the work of Midcoast Conservancy, promoting healthy lands, waters, wildlife, and people in Midcoast Maine through conservation, education, and outdoor recreation.

“I urge everyone in the Midcoast to take advantage of this unique opportunity to enjoy a magical late summer evening on a very special property in our watershed, all the while helping to protect it,” said Paula Swetland, event chairperson.

Tickets are $60, and must be purchased by Sept. 10 at midcoastconservancy.org, by calling (207) 389-5150, or emailing info@midcoastconservancy.org.

The conservancy also will raffle off a painting donated by Alna artist Kate Nordstrom. The work, “Life in the Kelp Forest,” is a 40- inch-by-40-inch piece representing the intertwined nature of land and water. Raffle tickets are $10 each or $20 for three.
