ARUNDEL —Come join “The Greatest Show” and celebrate the best of this great community at the Kennebunk-Kennebunkport-Arundel Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner-meeting-awards event, DRIVE.

The Chamber’s biggest single event of the year is set for Thursday, Sept. 13, at Vinegar Hill Music Theatre in Arundel.

The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. under the big top, with carnival games and entertainment, plus Steve Hrehovcik drawing caricatures, peanuts, popcorn and other fun food and cocktails in the garden bar.

Dinner will be served from the food trucks Texas Grace and JJ Frites. Desserts will be a smorgasbord from Stripers, Alisson’s, Mornings in Paris, Kennebunk Inn, Auntie’s House, Arundel Ice Cream, Dairy Queen and others.

It’s also the night the Chamber honors those who have worked hard to elevate our community, and celebrate all that our Chamber and its members have accomplished in the past year.

At the event, the Chamber also traditionally honors those who have excelled in serving our community.

The nonprofit organization recognizes one Business of the Year, a Volunteer of the Year, a NonProfit of the Year, and Municipal Employee of the Year.

The President’s Award honors an individual or group effort that goes above and beyond to serve our community, and the Joel Stevens Award Community Spirit Award recognizes a deserving person who, over a number of years, have made a significant contribution in advocacy, member support and regional image development.
