BRUNSWICK — First Light Camera Club ends its summer hiatus and reconvenes for a new season of programs and activities starting 6L30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6.

The club meets each month at its new location, The Brunswick Naval Museum and Memorial Gardens, 179 Admiral Fitch Ave., in Brunswick. The Club encourages beginning through experienced photographers to join for another full year of learning and sharing.

The evening’s program on Sept. 6 will be “Best Shot,” a slideshow of images provided by club members who have creating photographs all summer, especially focused on the club’s two key summer themes — “waterfalls” and a mystery topic selected at random by card last May. Members will show the “best shot” they’ve taken of these themes, and it’s a good opportunity to see the work of several photographers.

First Light Camera Club has been around since the 1990s and now meets weekly on Thursday evenings (except for holidays) from September through May. An annual membership of $40 offers access to workshops, photo outings, image critiques, guest speakers and tech nights all season long. Check www.firstlightcc.com for the group’s schedule which will be finalized by the first meeting on Sept 6.
