ROEBUCK, S.C. — Rachel Demeule Mabry, 86, of Roebuck, South Carolina, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 at her home.

Born July 1, 1932 in Biddeford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche Collette Demeule and the widow of James Edward Mabry.

Rachel was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, ice skating, and was a high school cheerleader. She absolutely loved and adored her family and spent her life as a homemaker.

Survivors include daughters, Elaine Taylor (Dave) of Pauline, South Carolina; Shirley Mabry of Roebuck, South Carolina; sons, David Mabry and Stanley Mabry, both of Roebuck, South Carolina; grandchildren, Stanley James, Stephanie, and Ethan; and great-grandchildren, Caroline, Gavin and Scarlette. She is also predeceased by siblings, John Demeule and Clair Binette.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. David R. Whitman. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
