SACO — Elizabeth L. Prejean, 95, of Saco, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at Pine Point Center in Scarborough.

She was born in Saco on Aug. 20, 1922, a daughter of Michael and Laura Louise (Vachon) Cormier. She was educated from Thornton Academy where she enjoyed roller skating and cheerleading.

On June 14, 1942, she married George Prejean at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Saco. They were married for 68 years.

Elizabeth was employed by West Point Pepperell for 28 years and later for Fairchild Semiconductor for 20 years, retiring in 1985.

Elizabeth loved knitting and crocheting and was well known for her beautiful afghans. She was a summer resident of Nason’s Beach at Sebago Lake for over 60 years, where they enjoyed camping, swimming, boating and playing games. She also had a deep love of dancing, this kept her young at heart.

Mrs. Prejean was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco.

She was predeceased by her husband George Prejean in 2009, her son Raymond Prejean in 2001 and by her daughter Sandra Houle in 2000.

She is survived by her son Michael Prejean and his wife Carol of Standish; two daughters Susan Pittfield and her husband Dennis of Hollis and Darlene Prejean and her wife Shari Cole of Arundel; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her sister Rita Bouffard of Biddeford; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James St., Saco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
