SACO — Frances M. Provencher, 89, passed away after a period of declining health on Aug. 13, 2018 at Seal Rock Health Care in Saco, Maine.

Frances was born April 2, 1929 in Biddeford Maine to the late Saul & Althea (Cote) Provencher. She grew up in Biddeford and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School.

Throughout her life, Frances worked at several places. The last was TJ Maxx in Portland. Frances never married and lived with her mother, sister, Jacqueline and her brother Edouard. She and her sister moved to the Inn at Atlantic Heights in Saco, Maine in 2011. She was very devoted to Jacqueline and assured her well-being throughout the remaining of her life.

She had many friends and enjoyed word games, bingo and playing cards. In 2015, a sudden illness required her transfer to Seal Rock Health Care.  The family would like to express their appreciation for the compassionate care that she received there.

She leaves the children of her brother Maurice, Brother of the Sacred Heart, Gerald Provencher of Nashua, New Hampshire, Jeanne Shea and her husband Stephen of Lancaster, Massachusetts, and Claire Morgan and her husband Kerry of Weldon Spring, Missouri. She also leaves her nephews in Canada, sons of her brother Jean, Andre, Daniel and Michel Provencher.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018 at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
