KENNEBUNK — Louise Taylor Bradbury, 95, of Kennebunk, passed away peacefully on July 10 with family members at her bedside.

Those who knew her will remember her with deep affection as a true New Englander, with all the independence, determination, integrity, and plainspokenness of her generation of Mainers.

She was born Louise Natalie Taylor, eighth and youngest child of Wilbur Hartley Taylor and Adelaide Lucretia (Davis) Taylor, on Sept. 14, 1922, at the Taylor farm in North Kennebunkport (now Arundel).  She lived most of her life in Cape Porpoise and Kennebunk.  Her last seven years were spent at Atria Kennebunk, and her passing was eased by the compassion of the Atria residents and staff and Hospice of Southern Maine.

Louise was predeceased by her parents and by her seven siblings, brothers Arthur, Lawrence, Raymond, Kenneth and Harvey, and sisters Mildred Wilson and Elizabeth Hayford.

She was married for 30 years to Wilbur Bradbury of Cape Porpoise, who died in 1987.  Her daughter, Anne Bradbury Dobra, died in 2017, followed in 2018 by her husband, Klee Dobra.

Louise is survived by her son, Scott Bradbury and wife Nancy Bradbury of Northampton, Massachusetts; by her four grandchildren, Sheree Freda and husband Andrew Freda of Deerfield, Massachusetts, Mindy Coath and husband Philip Coath of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, Holly Larson of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Mason Bradbury of New York City; and by six great-grandchildren.

A small family gathering in her memory will take place in August.
