The Kefauver Studio & Gallery is calling for artists to participate in the “Rock ‘n’ Wave” art show.
The show will highlight Maine’s waterways and rugged coastline, so submitted works should be in keeping with that theme, and will run from Aug. 10 through Sept. 9.
Each submitted work must be an original creation, and all mediums will be considered, including oil, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, photographs, sculpture and wood block prints. All work must be professionally presented and ready for hanging or displaying (framed or painted edges, wired for hanging). Pedestals are available for three-dimensional work.
Several artists will be selected to present up to five works at the show.
To enter, submit work in jpg form via email to will@kefauverstudio.com. The deadline for submission is Sunday, July 29, and drop-off of accepted work will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6.
There is no fee for entering, but a $15 fee will be charged to cover all accepted works to help with exhibition costs.
An artists’ reception, open to the public, will take place from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11.
The Kefauver Studio & Gallery is located at 144 Bristol Road, and is open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
