We can’t decide if we’d actually eat these, but if you can’t get enough lobster rolls or don’t have easy access to lobster rolls, Lay’s has you covered. The PepsiCo Frito-Lay chip company has released eight limited-edition flavors – and one of the new flavors is “New England Lobster Roll.”
“Inspired by the lobster shacks of the Northeast, fans can now get the flavor of fresh lobster served on a buttery grilled roll,” the description of the new potato chip flavor reads.
The unique flavor is part of Lay’s “Tastes of America” program, which featured eight new “regionally-inspired flavors that represent distinctive tastes from across the country.” Food Network star Hannah Hart will be joining Lay’s on the road to help “bring the flavor” at hometown food festivals around the country. To celebrate the New England Lobster Roll flavor, Lay’s and Hart will be on hand at the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland, Maine, from August 1 – 5.
The other new chip flavors include: Chesapeake Bay Crab Spice, Cajun Spice, Chile Con Queso, Deep Dish Pizza, Fried Pickles with Ranch, Pimento Cheese, and Thai Sweet Chile.
