It is understandable that many voters chose Donald Trump because they felt shut out of a culture that did not respect their work or aspirations. However, the Trump administration has consistently promoted policies that jeopardize the welfare of both its supporters and others. Loss of environmental protections, of affordable health care and of access to quality public education harm everyone.
On Sunday, the Trump administration’s delegation to a global health conference attempted to reverse a 40-year consensus in support of breastfeeding. The U.S. government would rather replace a totally economic and biologically perfect infant food with high-fructose corn syrup and bovine whey so that formula manufacturers can increase their profits.
When you vote in November for a U.S. senator, a U.S. representative, or a state senator or state representative, ask whose interest they will serve: yours or corporate greed.
