Caitlyn Camelio, Falmouth junior, midfield: Camelio’s combination of foot and stick speed makes her a dangerous scoring threat. With 56 goals and 25 assists, the first-team all-SMAA pick and Telegram Player of the Year helped the Yachtsmen (13-2) win their first state title, scoring four times in the Class A championship game.

Madison Drain, Massabesic senior, midfield: An all-American and first-team all-SMAA selection, Drain was the tempo setter of the team and an impact player on both ends of the field. She helped lead the Mustangs (14-2) to their third straight Class A final with 36 goals, 37 assists, 52 draw controls and 51 ground balls.

Erin Foley, Cape Elizabeth junior, goalkeeper: The first-team all-WMC pick is an imposing presence in net with great reflexes. She made eight saves in the Class B final, including a stop on a point-blank shot with 15 seconds left in regulation to preserve an 11-11 tie and allow the Capers (10-5) to defeat Yarmouth in overtime.

Caroline Gastonguay, St. Dominic senior, midfield: A first-team all-WMC selection, Gastonguay led the Saints (11-4) to the Class C final with 56 goals, 74 assists, 65 ground balls, 40 forced turnovers and 83 draw controls. Gastonguay stepped up against tough opponents, scoring six times in a 14-13 overtime victory over Greely.

Erin Gorton, Kennebunk senior, attack: Though not the most vocal player, Gorton made teams that overlooked her pay. The first-team all-SMAA selection had 42 goals, 10 assists, 32 ground balls, 18 draw controls and 14 caused turnovers this season, and had 103 career points. She scored five times in a 16-6 Class A South semifinal victory over South Portland.

Lindsey Keenan, Lake Region senior, attack: The first-team all-WMC selection totaled 305 career points (153 goals, 152 assists), including five assists and three goals in a 19-9 Class C championship game win over St. Dominic. Keenan also notched the winner with 1:10 remaining in the second overtime of Lake Region’s 11-10 regular-season victory over St. Dom’s.

Morgan Pike, Massabesic senior, midfield: The all-American and first-team all-SMAA pick is an accurate shooter and passer who can put the ball on a stick through traffic. Pike scored three times in a 10-9 win over Kennebunk in the Class A South final and was the team’s top scorer this season, collecting 49 goals and 48 assists, as well as 31 ground balls.

Kayla Sarazin, Falmouth junior, midfield: The first-team all-SMAA selection is the reason the Yachtsmen won two-thirds of their draws this season, and she played a key role on defense. Sarazin totaled 26 goals and 19 assists, including five goals and three assists in Falmouth’s 17-5 victory over Cheverus in the Class A North final.

Hallie Schwartzman, Kennebunk senior, midfield: The all-American and first-team all-SMAA pick has been a key component to the Rams’ success for years. This season, Schwartzman had 44 goals, 14 assists, 40 ground balls, 37 draw controls and 18 caused turnovers, and she totaled 128 career points.

Ya Stockford, Waynflete senior, attack: With her speed and athleticism, Stockford plays both ends of the field and is tough to guard. She led the Flyers (6-7) in scoring in numerous games, including in their 10-5 victory over Marshwood with five goals and two assists.

Eva Then, Yarmouth senior, midfield: The all-America selection became the third player in Yarmouth history to score 100 career goals, including six in the Clippers’ 17-10 Class B semifinal win over Messalonskee. This season, she had 39 goals and 29 assists and teamed with senior defender Hannah Corey to lead Yarmouth to a 12-3 record.

Ally Turner, Messalonskee senior, midfield: Turner is a force to the net and an all-around player with her height, speed and stick skills. She has an eye for feeding the ball to cutters for shots, although she also knows when to take it herself. Turner led the Eagles (9-5) with 72 goals and 40 assists this season, and totaled 251 goals and 119 assists in her career.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Ashley Pullen, Falmouth: In her first year coaching Falmouth, Pullen led the young squad to the first state title in program history, in its first year in Class A. The Yachtsmen defeated Massabesic 10-7 for the championship, just two years after Pullen led Messalonskee to the 2016 Class A state title over Massabesic.
