Hunter Richardson had four hits to help Pastime Club win an offensive showdown against Locke Mills, 16-9, in Senior American Legion Zone 2 baseball action Monday.
Richardson had a triple, two doubles and a single. Pastime had six batters with two or more hits: Richardson, Brock Belanger, who had a double and a single, Hunter Landry, Evan Cox, Owen Cox and Lucas Francis of Lisbon.
Pastime trailed 1-0, 6-1 and 7-5 after Locke Mills’ first three offensive half innings, but took over the lead with an eight-run third inning that put Pastime up 13-7.
Tanner Wheeler had three hits, one of which was a double for Locke Mills (1-4). He also took the loss.
Francis pitched 2 1/3 innings and earned the victory for Pastime (4-0), which visits Augusta on Friday (5:30 p.m.) and hosts Rogers Post in a doubleheader on Saturday (9:30 a.m.).
Junior Legion
PORTLAND — Chris Cimino and Kasey Rogers combined 11 strikeouts to lead Cheverus to a 5-0 victory over the Southern Maine Falcons.
Cimino tossed the first three innings with six strikeouts, one walk and three hits. Rogers finished up with four shut-out innings on five strikeouts, one walk and three hits.
Shea Wagner and Blaine Cockburn each singled twice for the Falcons, while Anthony Panciocco and Kempton Van Glinsky-Gregoire each singled.
Heath Cockburn, Blaine Cockburn and Liam Holt combined on the mound on eight strikeouts, seven walks and six hits.
The Falcons visit Gray-New Gloucester on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
