THE “POSTCARDS OF MAINE” QUILT, featuring 12 distinct blocks that together form a mosaic of beloved Maine scenes and symbols, is being raffled off by the Georgetown Working League. The group will host its 105th annual fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Georgetown Central School, located at 52 Bay Point Road. The centerpiece of the fair and the League's fund-raising effor ts is the art quilt created by a core group of members. Proceeds of the fair and quilt raffle go to student scholarships and town services. The winning raffle ticket will be drawn at the close of the fair on Aug. 11. Raffle tickets for the quilt are $1 each or $5 for a book of seven, and are available weekends at Five Islands Wharf (weather permitting), the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department auction on July 14 (Five Islands Station on Old Schoolhouse Road), and Bath Farmers' Market (frequently).
