Tanner Bernier tossed a three-hitter as Coastal Landscape downed Topsham Post 202, 4-0 on Monday at the Bowdoinham Community Field in Senior American Legion Zone 3 baseball action.

Post 202 is 1-5 heading into Thursday’s home matchup with the Cole Post Eagles at 5:30 p.m.

Coastal Landscape jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning.

Jackson Walker went the first 3 2/3 frames for Topsham, allowing four runs on one hit, five walks and two hit batters. He struck out three. Matt Rines relieved and tossed 3 1/3 innings on two walks and two hits.

At the plate, Cody Holman, Isaiah Cogswell and Trey Booty each had a hit in the loss.

Luke Hill singled twice and walked for Coastal.

Junior Legion

YARMOUTH — Shea Wagner and Caden Benedict combined on a shutout as the Southern Maine Falcons of Freeport defeated Tucker Ford of Yarmouth, 4-0, on Monday.

Wagner homered in the top of the first to give his team an early lead. On the mound, the righty went four innings with six strikeouts.

Willets Meyer went 2-for-3 at the plate in the victory as the Falcons improved to 2-3.

Gabe Collins had two hits for Tucker Ford.

Southern Maine hosts Topsham Post 202 at Freeport High School on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

In earlier action, Freeport earned its first win on Friday with a 5-3 victory over host Auburn at Pettingill Park.

Toby Holt and Anthony Panciocco pitched in the win, while Benedict and Holt each doubled.

On Sunday, the Falcons dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Oxford Hills, 5-3 and 14-1.

In the opener, Wagner had a pair of hits, while Liam Holt pitched well in the setback.

Gardy Converse had a pair of hits in Game 2.

OXFORD 17

Oxford Hills received five solid innings from Dean Sinkler in a win over Topsham Post 202 on Friday at South Paris.

The hosts scored nine runs in the first inning to take control, and added four runs in both the second and fourth frames to bring on the mercy rule.

Daniel Pratt and Isaak Flaming were 2-for-3 at the plate in the setback. For Oxford, Isaiah Ouficera was 3-for-4 with two singles, a double, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Topsham visits Freeport on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
