OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Rosalie “Rosie” Bass, 58, of Old Orchard Beach, passed away Tuesday evening on June 5, 2018, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born in Hartford, Connecticut on Jan. 19, 1960, a daughter of Robert and Lauraine (Methot) Pettengill. She attended Old Orchard Beach and Biddeford schools.
Rosie graduated from Maine State Academy of Hair Design. She was employed by various beauty salons in the local area for many years.
She enjoyed shopping, being with close friends and signing karaoke.
Most of all, Rosie loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with them, especially with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her parents Robert and Lauraine Pettengill; her son Scott Letendre and his wife Jessica; her son Tylor Hetzel and her daughter Nichole Hetzel and Joe Pelletier; along with her seven grandchildren Theresa, Macy, Kai, Brielle, Fae, Ellie and Maddox. She is also survived by six siblings David Pettengill, Cyndy Ayotte, Joanne Savage, Robert Pettengill Jr., Robin Huguenin and Eddie Pettengill; and nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Champions Sports Bar.
