Jayson Aquino allowed just two hits over six innings, and Luis Gonzalez was also effective on the mound, as the Bowie Baysox shut down the Portland Sea Dogs in a 7-1 Eastern League baseball win on Tuesday.

Aquino (3-2) allowed one run while striking out six and walking two to pick up the win.

Bowie started the scoring in the second inning when D’Arby Myers hit a two-run single.

After Bowie added two runs in the sixth, the Sea Dogs cut into the deficit in the seventh inning when Josh Ockimey scored on an error.

Dedgar Jimenez (1-4) went six innings, allowing four runs and seven hits in the Eastern League game. He also struck out four and walked three. Gonzalez pitched three scoreless innings for his sixth save of the season.
