AUGUSTA — The Morse High School girls jayvee lacrosse team downed the Cony Rams, 7-4, on Wednesday.
Morse jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in the opening minutes, controlling the draw controls. The Shipbuilders carried a 6-3 lead into the intermission, allowing only one goal in the second half to secure the win.
Morse was led by Kylie Grendell’s four goals. Grace Bingham notched a pair, while Mary LaRochelle tallied the remaining goal for the visitors.
Grendell, LaRochelle, Keonna Moore and Nichole Brazee each had an assist for the ’Builders.
Cony outshot Morse, 19-13, with Morse goalie Sophie Wilson recording nine saves.
