PORTLAND
Six communities in the Diocese of Portland will offer the Totus Tuus — “Totally Yours” — program for the first time in Maine.
The weeklong summer program for first to 12th graders, led by a team of college students and a diocesan seminarian, demonstrates living the Catholic faith and passes it on to participating youth.
The team that will be leading the program in Maine includes team leader Liam Gallagher, a Diocese of Portland seminarian who taught Totus Tuus in Vermont last summer. Other members of the team will be Emily Amann, a 2017 graduate of Scarborough High School who served on the diocese’s Catholic Youth Leadership Team; Dale Brown, a 2017 graduate of Saint Dominic Academy who attends Holy Family Church in Lewiston; and Maddie Dichard, a sophomore at Franciscan University of Steubenville who is a parishioner at St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Bangor.
The program will be offered:
June 24-29 — at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish in Sanford
July 8-13 — at Parish of the Precious Blood in Caribou
July 15-20 — at Prince of Peace Parish in Lewiston
July 29-August 3 — at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Scarborough
August 5-10 — at Corpus Christi Parish in Waterville
August 12-17 — at St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Bangor.
