SEARSPORT — The body of a Waldoboro man who had been missing since Nov. 4 was found along the banks of the Penobscot River last week.
The remains of Steven Reed, 64, were taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta where positive identification was made late in the week, according to a statement from Maine State Police.
Reed’s relatives were notified over the weekend. Reed was last seen leaving Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor Nov. 4 after being discharged. Searsport police and state police detectives coordinated the recovery of his body from the riverbank after it was discovered on Tuesday afternoon, May 8.
