OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Myron “Hutch” A. Hutchinson Jr., 59, of Old Orchard Beach passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, after a brief stay at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Hutch was born on March 20, 1959 in Castine, Maine, the son of Myron A. Hutchinson, Sr. and Patricia Haskell Hutchinson. He was a beloved member of the community in Old Orchard Beach where he and wife, Denise, would be celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary on June 25 this year and where he devoted both time and money to the local Salvation Army and the Maine Veterans.

Hutch grew up in Bangor and moved to the Portland area in 1983 where he worked for Dyer’s Tire and met Denise in 1984. He started in the glazing business in 1985 and owned Custom Mirror and Glass for several years. He then worked at Beach Glass in Old Orchard Beach and became a partner in the company with Dan Blaney until 2010.

Hutch loved making memories with his family and became a friend to everyone he met, giving each person a unique nickname and lots of laughs. He was always willing to help a neighbor and brighten someone’s day. Hutch was a jack-of-many-trades and people really enjoyed his cooking, especially his homemade lasagna and mac & cheese. He shared his love of music with his children, frequently playing selections from his impressive record collection. He knew how to create magic for his family during the holiday season and took pride in being a mindful and respectful person when it came to others and their belongings.

Hutch is predeceased by his father, Myron A. Hutchinson, Sr., brother, Jeffrey “Hutchone” Hutchinson, and beloved mother-in-law, Pauline “Mum-Z” Gagnon. He is survived by his wife, Denise (Gagnon) “Shining Pride” Hutchinson, daughter Heather “Gih Gil” Hutchinson, son Chad “Wic” Hutchinson and partner Amanda, mother Patricia “Patty Haskell” Parks, sister, Sandra “Sin-a-Boom” Rice, sister Becky “Becky-Strudel” Joy and husband Butch, brother Darrell “Bubba” Parks, Jr. and partner Laura, aunt Ellie Lufkin, sister-in-law Shirley “Dinghy” Gagnon and partner Brian, several cousins, nieces, and nephews, and far too many friends to count.

Hutch will be fondly remembered by all who were blessed enough to have met him.
