GORHAM — The Thornton Academy girls lacrosse team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 10-6 win over Gorham on Thursday.
Cat Henaire led the way for TA as she scored three times and also had one assist. Addy Paradis added three goals and Hannah McAlary scored twice for the Golden Trojans, who also got goals from Taylor Ouellette and Izzy White.
Mackenzie Basile had three assists for TA, which has won two straight since a season-opening loss to Massabesic.
Biddeford 15, Brunswick 2
Paige Laverriere scored five goals and handed out one assist as the Tigers cruised to the win over Brunswick.
Hailey Allen, Megan Mourmouras and Abby Allen all had two goals and one assist in the victory.
Biddeford, which got nine saves from Ella McKenzie, also got goals from Peyton McKeown, Azure Illiano, Serena Speight and Grace Boisvert.
SOFTBALL
Biddeford 10, Cheverus 4

Lexi Matteau tossed a complete game with 10 strikeouts and just four hits allowed as Biddeford got the win.
Brook Davis had an RBI double and Chantel Perreault added an RBI single in the win.
BOYS TENNIS
Thornton Academy 5, Scarborough 0

The Golden Trojans would get singles wins from Caleb Richard, Jack Xiao and Adam Lovejoy as they earned the sweep.
The team of Asher Thompson and Adam Charbonneau won at first doubles, while Jon Ma and Charles Qu were victorious at second doubles for TA.
BASEBALL
Windham 1, Thornton Academy 0

The visiting Eagles would get a run in the second inning and that was all they needed to take down Thornton Academy.
Bryce Afthim tossed a four-hitter with three strikeouts to lead Windham.
Tim Smith led Thornton Academy with a double. Brogan Searle-Belanger, Cameron Cross and Toby Pydych also had hits for the Trojans.
Cameron Seymour got the start on the hill for TA and would give up one run on one hit with five strikeouts in two innings of work. Brady Lambert closed things out with three strikeouts and four hits allowed over a five-inning stretch.
