While the children are enjoying games and face painting, parents can learn more about local youth organizations, summer camps and support services during a free Family Resource Fair.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 12, at St. Charles Borromeo Church, located at 132 McKeen St. in Brunswick.
Representatives from more than 25 organizations will be in attendance to speak with and answer questions from parents.
Participating organizations include Bath Area Family YMCA at Landing Y, the Boy Scouts, the Cub Scouts, the Girl Scouts, Care Net, Catholic Charities Maine Functional Family Therapy, Cathance River Education Alliance Summer Camp, Coastal Humane Society Animal Camp, GEAR Parent Network, Harpswell Neck Physical Education Day Camp, Habitat for Humanity, Maine Audubon Day Camp, Merrymeeting Bay Triad, Midcoast Maine community programs, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Pine Tree Society, Project Rachel, Parish of the Holy Eucharist Vacation Bible School, St. John’s Catholic School, Seeds of Independence and Topsham Public Library.
The Family Resource Fair is in its second year. Last spring, hundreds gathered for the inaugural fair at St. John the Baptist Church, also in Brunswick.
