A woman whose body was found Sunday in a Lisbon pond died of accidental drowning, officials said.
The body of Carol Plourde, 61, of Lisbon, was found in a pond off Potter Road by the owner of the land late Sunday afternoon. An autopsy by the state medical examiner Monday determined that she had drowned and ruled that the drowning was accidental.
Marc Hagan, the police chief in Lisbon, said the case is considered closed, pending any further information.
