OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Pauline G. Cockerille, 101, of Pine Avenue, passed away Monday April 17, 2018 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. 

She was born on Dec. 27, 1916 in Houlton, Maine to Charles and Alfa (Glidden) Raymond.

Pauline graduated from Old Orchard Beach High School in 1936.

She was married to the love of her life Thomas F. Cockerille in 1938. Together, they shared 61 years of marriage before he passed in 1999.

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Donna and her husband Roger Gonneville of Dayton, Maine; five grandchildren, Thomas Gonneville Sr., Tamara Pisani and husband Andrew, Kelly Stone and husband Keith, Steve Gonneville and wife Marie all of Dayton, Lori Boilard and husband Jeremy of Abington, Massachusetts; nine great-grandchildren Derek Cameron and wife Shannon of Litchfield, Thomas Jr., Taylor, and Matthew Gonneville, David, Roger and Alexis Stone, Julia and Jacob Pisani all of Dayton; two great-great-grandchildren Landon and Colton of Litchfield; nieces Sylvia Orchard of Old Orchard Beach, Derri Johnson and husband Richard of Zephyrhills, Florida, Joanne (Cockerille) McJunkin of Reidsville, North Carolina and Loy Ann ( Cockerille) Phinney of Lakeland, Florida; and nephew Dean Koepp of Amelia Island, Florida.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Marion Orchard Davis in 2012, and Phyllis Koepp in 2014.  

Her hobbies include sewing, cooking and walking the beach.

She attended all her grandchildren’s sports events during their school years. 

For 26 years she and her husband had concessions on the Old Orchard Beach Duffy Pier.  It was fun watching the big bands head for the end of the pier to play music.

In the fall, they traveled to many fairs in Maine and New Hampshire with their concession for 25 years. 

They lived in Florida for many years and attended many spring training baseball games in the winter. Pauline had a very active and good life.

She and Tom loved to travel across the country. They went on many bus trips and enjoyed life.

Friends and relatives may call Monday April 23, 2018 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home 365 Main St, Saco. A 1 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home. 

Rev. Marcia Charles will officiate.

Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Tom.
