The Falmouth Town Council will hold a special meeting Wednesday to discuss a recently submitted petition to roll back rules for high-density residential zoning adopted in 2016.
A public comment period is not planned, although the council may waive its rules and allow comment. No council action is expected on Wednesday.
Residents have been circulating a petition calling for the town to roll back 2016 changes to the town’s zoning ordinances that encouraged high-density development in certain growth districts.
The petitions were turned in April 10 and have been certified to have the required 808 signatures needed to force a June referendum.
The meeting Wednesday begins at 5:30 pm at Town Hall. It will be broadcast live on CH2 & Ch 121 (A digital channel on Time Warner only) and will stream on the town’s website.
